Firebirds

A smudge of colour in the darkness

A whole blaze of bright burning flames

Dancing, roaring, sizzling, spitting

And calling out your name

Flying up into the air

Sparks like tiny firebirds

It licks your skin but you don't care

The sensation has you lost for words

Fire, fire, burning bright

Crackling in the starry night

Jewel of Passion

Sparkling like blood diamonds

Your heart is the gem of love

Bleeding the passion evaporates into the air

What is this precious jewel that we share?

Ruby red or a heart of gold

The fiery passion against the cold

Reflection of a beast that cannot be tamed

A sin so ghastly that no one can be blamed

Hearts beat as one, pulsing with passion

Rising from the ashes, hungry for action

Deep down inside, it's released into the world

Colours and shapes all a mesmerizing swirl

Blinded by passion, you are one lucky girl

Eternal Love

Waiting patiently for that day to come

It's not really a big deal for some

My heart's a bird, trapped in a cage

We will die peacefully together of old age

But forever will our souls remain

Entwined and linked through tears and pain

Carefully chosen futures as ghosts

Floating through time and space on the coasts

A thriving love, a tiny white dove

Released into heaven, forever immortal

The magical connection through the portal

The key to my heart, with death playing a part

Is a place in the universe, an eternal star
